Yeah i would say they ride just as well as a dule crown but with the freedom of a single. plus there bigger than most tripples out there!

If you want a huge serviceing bill but amazing forks go for 40s otherwise go with boxxers

Looking sweet mate. All you need is a better set of forks!

Been up to Failand a few times but haven't really been riding much. Where you riding?

Yeh the 36's do give it quite a steep head angle but on the slack setting its not to bad. It needs some more travel on the front though!

DuskBiker commented under DuskBiker's photo ( Apr 26, 2009 at 7:32 )

Simply went of a 6ft stairset and they both snapped, at the same time, right on the welds.

Got the new reinforced chainstay on there now and it looks much stronger!

Can't get warranty because im not the origanal owner and i don't have the documents to prove anything. Not very good as a new chainstay is £90.

Love tripples on my SX. The 40's do change the geometry a lot over the standard 36, but it really becomes a full on DH bike feel, with less weight if not the big hitting capability of a full DH rig.
What the headtube tho, on your model, the weld between the top and down tube isn't as long, increasing the possibilty for high stresses and snapped top tops.

how did you mount the e 13 chain guide onto your manik - i'm thinking of doing that but didi you use an adapter plate which fits behind the BB cup?
